Design and Mechanical Analysis of a Cam-Linked Planetary Gear System Seedling Picking Mechanism

This study designed a cam-linked planetary gear system automatic seedling picking mechanism to address unstable operation and issues of high damage the substrate caused by dryland vegetable transplanter. Through an analysis kinematic principle structure establishment model, computer-aided software was developed using Visual Basic 6.0. Consequently, set structural parameter values satisfying target trajectory derived employing human–computer interaction method, 3D model designed. The imported into Adams for simulation, mechanism’s during obtained through simulation. Modal performed Ansys, first six-order modal vibration patterns frequencies were under simulated working environment. results confirmed that no resonance occurred operation. Comparisons needle with idle test revealed theoretical, simulated, trajectories approximately identical. proved reliability theoretical design mechanism, machining parts, bench construction. success rates 97.66, 96.09, 93.75, 90.63% at 90, 100, 110, 120 plants/min, respectively, 4.43%, 6.73%, 9.57%, 14.37%, respectively. Thus, experimental operating parameters satisfied requirements.
